Notes

Originally drawn as “The Mušḫuššu is Interrupted”, the abundance of ‘U’s brought it into the Alphabet book. Wikipedia says that a mušḫuššu dragon is a creature from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, a scaly hybrid with hind legs resembling the talons of an eagle, lion-like forelimbs, a long neck and tail, a horned head, a snake-like tongue, and a crest, but does not mention whether it needs to pare its nails sometimes.
